|Dr. Tracie Wilson, DVM
I graduated with an A.S. in Veterinary Technology in 1991 from St Petersburg Junior College and began working in the small animal field. As the profession grew and evolved, I accepted a teaching position at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine, teaching junior veterinary students the art of anesthesia.
In 1994, I returned to Florida to enroll at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, studying pre-vet classes. While attending UCF, I worked at the Daytona Beach Animal Emergency Clinic.
From 1997, I was honored with the opportunity to teach classes while working in the Intensive Care Ward at the veterinary college in Knoxville while finishing my under grad studies. Upon completion, I was accepted to the veterinary college at the University of Tennessee.
I received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Accepting a position as an associate veterinarian in Danville Kentucky for six years before returning to Florida where I worked as an associate vet for a year, preparing to open my own practice. I chose the Eustis area because the community and the people were very welcoming and supportive of a new enterprise. At this time the Animal Medical Center of Eustis is a full service small animal hospital – where we specialize in TLC!
